Gold Medal Books, Inc

While I have found nothing to substantiate this, I believe these books were produced by the same printers that did the Mayfair Editions in the previous "Oddity." They are exactly the same weird size, and they use the same typeface on their pulp pages. Even the interior staples are identical.

While the title pages indicate they were printed in New York, there are no dates, and I once again believe they are from the mid-1930's. The marbled vertical stripe on the covers, giving them the appearance of being quarterbound, is printed on the paper wrapper (it wraps around to the back).

I can find nothing at all that might connect this publisher to Fawcett, which produced Gold Medal Books in the 1950's, other than the fact that they were both in New York.
